The late 90s gave me, a young broadcast journalist then, an idea; a dream of a regional channel with national perspective. 2000 – This dream transformed into reality – which today is TV9. In the last 5 years – a small vision has grown into one of the countries best-broadcast news network and the TV9 group stands leader in the national market.
I am using this platform to extend my sincere thanks to a person in particular without whom my dream couldn’t have seen its fate. Mr Srini Raju – the chairman of I_labs, which holds a major stake in the parent body of TV9 channels – Associated Broadcast Corporation (ABC) P Ltd. He is a man with a mission. And I always look towards him as a mentor and a person whom I admire, appreciate and respect as a leader.

Mr Srini Raju, former COO of Satyam Computer Services Limited and also first chief executive officer of Cognizant Technology Solutions; founded I_Labs to incubate businesses based on intellectual property in the fields of technology, life sciences, media and entertainment, and financial services space. I_Labs now funds 13 companies, leaders in their respective market segments; one of the many being TV9. Today, I_Labs Group manages a corpus of USD 400 million.
Srini Raju’s success mantra has always been the belief that ‘If you want to be big, you have to dream big.’ And this belief has been the turning point of his life and his initiation into becoming a venture capitalist; which is for him; not a ’social responsibility’ but combustion of interests and the moneymaking aspect of business
As a Venture Capitalist, Srini Raju’s focus is on the tech sector, media and entertainment, consumer driven products and services. He enjoys taking risks which in turn has given him enormous opportunities to do different things. He believes that he has a responsibility towards the society, of creating jobs, because one cannot have a society where only a few people are benefiting from it and that there is capability in every individual and we have to harness it. What we need is an inclusive society.

I am from USA and I watch TV9 online. I would love to watch on TV thru Direct TV or Dish NettWork. but this channel is not available thru them. I am not sure about your strategy of making TV9 available to more people, but there is a good business opportunity to get US subscribers if you make TV9 available thrU one of the leading satellite providers.
I know this is available online, but its very tedious to view online all the time. And I do appropriate making this channel available online.
